We are a team of kiteboarders from Waves, North Carolina raising money to fight cancer! Each of us, as so many in this world do, has a personal story of cancer affecting individual lives, families and relationships. Each of us has the same goal of raising awareness and putting an end to the disease. Join us as we fundraise in creative, fun ways to counteract the terrible, rehabilitative characteristics of the illness.

Sunset Swim Runway Charity Event

Mojo’s is happy to welcome the Sunset Swim charity runway event, an evening of fine food, fabulous fashion, fun beats and loads of giveaways and auction items. This attractive evening not only benefits Athletes 4 Cancer but also provides a quality dining experience with sexy entertainment and lots of prizes. The night will begin with drinks and silent auction tables while enjoying the sounds of Mojo Collins. A gourmet, specialty dinner prepared by local chef Steve Meyers will be available for ticket holders and for purchase throughout the evening. Steve is the owner of Mojo’s Sunset café and is known for his abundance of flavor, use of fresh seafood and Cajun- inspired meals. The charity fashion show raises money to fund Athletes for Cancer’s Survivorship Programs for young adults with cancer and the John Wayne Cancer Foundation. For the second year in a row REAL Watersports is sending a team of four dedicated individuals to participate in Athletes 4 Cancer in Hood River, Oregon. All the money directly benefits individuals affected by cancer. Athletes 4 Cancer empowers all the active people interested in enduring in their sport for the cause. While raising money for cancer awareness and support programs, the event also gives an opportunity for emerging local designers and boutiques. Their works include loads of stylish swimwear, colorful suits and skimpy tops, beautiful jewelry and accessories, and fashionable footwear. Local models will display these items on the runway. Taking place at REAL Watersports in Waves on June 7th 2012, the doors will open at 6:30 with an hour of drinks and socializing. Dinner will commence at 7:00. The fashion show will begin at 8:30 with dancing and raffle to follow. The cost for the entire evening, including dinner and raffle ticket is $40. Tickets may be bought in advance and at the door. Raffle ticket only tickets will be sold for $10 at the door. Tickets are on sale at the following locations: Spa Koru, REAL Watersports, Outer Beaches Realty, Hatteras Realty.
