Event Description:

The 12th annual Coastal Gardening Festival will take place on May 17th, 2014. The Festival is sponsored by the Dare County Extension Master Gardener Volunteers in association with the Dare County Center of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension. Plan to visit the Arboretum as part of your visit to the festival. It is located adjacent to the Thomas A. Baum Senior Center.  The purpose of the Outer Banks Arboretum and Teaching Garden is to create an outdoor classroom that provides horticultural education, as well as to test and display labeled plantings and planting practices that are suitable for our coastal climate, and to provide a garden for the viewing pleasure of all citizens and visitors of Dare County.  For more information, call Dare County Extension office at (252) 473-4290.
